Job Description
We are seeking a Salesforce Data Migration Engineer to lead and execute data migration efforts from legacy systems to Salesforce. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Salesforce data architecture, ETL tools, and data quality best practices. He/ She will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness throughout the migration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze legacy data sources and define data mapping and transformation rules for Salesforce.
• Design and implement data migration strategies using tools like Data Loader, Talend, Informatica, MuleSoft, or custom scripts.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Perform data cleansing, deduplication, and validation to ensure high-quality data in Salesforce.
• Develop and execute test plans for data migration, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Monitor and troubleshoot data migration issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Document data migration processes, mappings, and configurations for future reference and audits.
• Support post-migration activities including data reconciliation and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with domain experts and business stakeholders to understand business rules/logics
• Ensure effective, efficient, and continuous communication (written and verbally) with global stakeholders
• Independently troubleshoot difficult and complex issues on dev, test, UAT and production environments
• Responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects, coordination between client and internal offshore teams and manage
client queries
• Demonstrate high attention to detail, should work in a dynamic environment whilst maintaining high quality standards,
a natural aptitude to develop good internal working relationships and a flexible work ethic
• Responsible for Quality Checks and adhering to the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) / Turn Around Time (TAT)
Desired Experience & Qualification
◼ Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
◼ 3+ years of experience in Salesforce data migration or CRM data migration projects.
◼ Proficiency with Salesforce tools (Data Loader, Workbench, etc.) and ETL platforms.
◼ Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, objects, relationships, and APIs.
◼ Experience with SQL, SOQL, and data transformation scripting.
◼ Experience of working with systems and technologies on the financial institutions.
◼ Experience working on agile methodology, Jira, Confluence, etc.
◼ Good understanding of technology aspects of the working of API, system integration, data transfer, stack, etc.
◼ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
◼ Extremely strong organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
◼ Strong track record of excellent results delivered to internal and external clients
◼ Able to work independently without the needs for close supervision and also collaboratively as part of cross-team efforts
◼ Experience with delivering projects within an agile environment
◼ Experience in project management and team management
