Job Description
The Sales Manager – Domestic (VP Latex) will be responsible for driving value and volume growth in the Indian market in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). The role focuses on key account management, market share expansion, new product commercialization, and identification of new business opportunities across customers, applications, and markets.
The incumbent should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial/start-up-like environment and demonstrate a strong challenger mindset, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Key Account Management
- Manage assigned key accounts across the domestic Indian market, with end-to-end responsibility from order acquisition to receivables management
- Develop and execute customer-specific sales strategies to drive sustainable growth in volume, value, and margins
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and build long-term partnerships with new customers and influencers
Market Development & Growth
- Continuously scan the domestic market to identify new product placement and application opportunities
- Identify and develop new business sources including new customers, new applications, new markets, and new products
- Conduct market mapping and quantify business potential for existing and new products
New Product Development & Go-To-Market
- Identify opportunities for new products and applications in coordination with the Business Head
- Collate technical, commercial, and market inputs required for go-to-market (GTM) decisions
- Support and execute GTM plans for new and existing products in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Logistics, and R&D teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Act as a key interface between customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education
- Must be a Graduate (B.Sc / B.Tech preferred)
- Post-graduation or MBA (Marketing / Sales) will be an added advantage
Experience
- 8–15 years of relevant B2B sales experience
- Mandatory experience in Paints, Coatings, Construction Chemicals, Latex, Polymers, Adhesives, or Specialty Chemicals
- Strong Pan-India market exposure with hands-on experience managing customers across regions
- Proven experience in Key Account Management, new business development, and product commercialization
